What is Pastoral Supervision?

Pastoral supervision is a safe and brave space for ministry workers to reflect on their ministry practice in order to become wiser practitioners and grow in faithfulness and resilience, for their sake and the sake of those they serve.

Pastoral supervision is about reflection not reporting.

My qualifications

  • Certificate in Pastoral Supervision (St Mark's Theological College, Canberra)

  • B.D. (Moore Theological College, Sydney)

  • Certificate in Bowen Family Systems Theory (Family Systems Institute, Sydney)

My experience

  • 18 years of full-time paid ministry. I currently work for an Anglican church in Sydney as well as a non-denominational organisation called City Bible Forum.

  • Assisting with the development of the Intentional Ministry Reflection subject at Moore Theological College including writing the course textbook (2018-2020).

"I have found that Caroline as a supervisor has facilitated my reflective thinking and promoted pastoral and leadership skill development. She does this through using her wealth of knowledge and experience, and strengthened by self directed and goal orientated approaches. I believe she would be a helpful pastoral supervisor for ministry workers from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, because she is able to tailor her approach to meet their needs."
